Infusystems India - Description of the Journal

Description of the Journal  |  Instructions to Authors  |  Instructions to Advertisers

The field of diabetes is swamped by an abundance of scientific journals, including ones on insulin therapy.

However, clinicians and technicians using or working in the field of insulin infusion systems, i.e. pumps and related technologies e.g. sensors, needed a media capable of distributing practical and/or technical information. Indeed, information such as reports on side-effects, early pilot experience with a new model or technique, full description or comparison of products, administrative or legal information on pump treatment, e.g. reimbursement, usually cannot appear in conventional scientific journals.

Nearly 20 years ago, a French version of this journal was launched for French speaking readers: Infusystèmes France. It has since become the reference journal on insulin pump technology in France. In 2002, we began publishing and distributing in Europe its English-speaking companion, Infusystems International, whose choice of authors and subjects was specifically made for the European readers. By its choice of topics and authors, Infusystems India is directed specifically, and distributed only to Indian diabetologists interested in insulin infusion related technologies. Infusystems India is distributed quarterly and free of charge to more than 10,000 selected Indian specialists.
